Greetings Fellow Preppers

Let me introduce myself. I’m a hard-working American, I’m a Christian, a patriot, a husband, a small business owner and big believer in free enterprise, and I’m a writer.

I’m launching John Q. Prepper for several reasons:
> To share prepping ideas, products, and resources with you as I work on my own preps; and
> To share my books and books I’ve co-written

I’ll try not to be long winded, and get right to the point.

If you want to keep up with my posts, let me suggest you follow me on Twitter (@jqprepper.com) and/or sign-up for my mailing list (here). For a limited time, when you sign up, you’ll get a copy of the first how to guide I’m co-writing with another prepper, The Prepper Brothers Guide to the Apocalypse: Surviving the First 24 Hours After an EMP.

I hope you’ll enjoy!

  1. I have been doing some prepping Food and stuff It is slow going as am retired and have limited money but I am slowly getting there. Would like your free book but could not get it to download. Is it not available yet?

    • Hi Kay
Sounds like you’re making headway on your preps. I really believe a big part of prepping is your mindset. And you’ve got that down.

If you signed up for my mailing list, you’ll get a copy of our first Survival Guide, when it’s out. Unfortunately, that will be a few more months as both my co-writer and I are trying to finish up a couple of writing projects. There are some great free guides available though. I’ll try to put together a post with some links shortly.

      Thanks for following!

Have tried to sign up, but the link Hans’t worked for me. Please add me. Thanks.
As a result of reading your books, I too have begun to prep. I also now have a get home bag in my truck to help me get home from work in the event of a solar flare or. EMO.

    • Hey Kevin,
Your name was already added to the list. Thanks for that!

Appreciate your attributing your prep starting point to me. I am however, just a small grain of sand on a giant beach of quality prepper information out there. I hope to contribute back what I continue to take in–It’s always a learning process every day, isn’t it?

My plan is to post about several products I’ve tested and some of the things I’ve learned so far, but in between attempting to scratch out a living and write books, I’ve been slow to do so. More will come, I promise you that.

I enjoyed your book, and I am looking forward to reading more of your writings. Thanks for the entertainment and resources.

  4. THaNK YOU for writing this book! I just finished reading Endurance and loved it! I read the first book, Highway and couldn’t wait to read Endurance. I hope there are more books being planned in the series. Even though I believe and try to live by the moto “Be Prepared” and always have emergency pack in my car and blue I realize that I am woefully unprepared. The Scary but all to real possible scenario presented in your books has also motivated me to become more serious about prepping. I also was not sign up for for the free copy of the EMP survival book. I will look for it and others like it online.Thank you again!!!!

    • Thank you Susan for your kind words!
So glad you enjoyed both books. Please do me a big favor and write a quick review (https://www.amazon.com/review/create-review?ie=UTF8&asin=B01EXMWE3G). Even a couple of words is important because it helps other prospective readers find my books in the giant vacuum that is Amazon.
There is definitely one more book planned in the series. I’m afraid you may have to wait until early next year because ML Banner’s and my writing schedules are pretty full. I’ll announce when we get closer.

Don’t beat yourself up about preparedness. You have the first part (attitude) down. Just focus on one thing at a time and you’ll get there. As the Coast Guard says, “Semper Paratus!”
