Endurance, the Sequel to Highway Now Available

I’m excited to announce that, with ML Banner (my co-writer), we have just released Endurance: A Post-Apocalyptic Thriller (Highway Book 2).

This is a romping-stomping thrill fest (my words) of a story that begins right where Highway left off. It’s true that in Highway we get our rear-ends handed to us by Islamic invaders (I won’t lie to you, it aint over). But in Endurance you’ll see some of our heroes offer up some retribution to the invaders as well.

Of course, I’ve made sure there are a few prepping tips in there too, but mostly it’s just a fun thriller. Our friend and fellow prepper Bobby Akart described Endurance (and the series) this way:

“Non-stop, zoom-zoom action kept my attention the whole time.

This novel is a thrill ride through a grid-down, post-apocalyptic world that is all too real. An outstanding example of well written prepper fiction that does not disappoint!”

If you enjoyed Highway, you’ll enjoy Endurance too.

Get your copy of Endurance here

(Paperbacks—I used the cover in this post—will be available in about two weeks)

Did you pre-order? If you did, you may not have the current (proofread and corrected) copy of Endurance. ML Banner tells me it’s pretty simple to update your copy:

First, if you have the “old” one on your Kindle (the newest one says, “First Edition: 7/28/2016” on the title/disclaimer page in the front of the book), “Remove it from Device.” Even if you’re not sure, do this. Then go to Amazon.com and login. Where it says, “Hello, [Your Name] Your Account,” hover with your mouse and click on “Manage Your Content and Devices.” You’ll see ENDURANCE right near the top of this page. Click on the appropriate “Actions” button (with the ellipse on it) and then “Deliver” from the pop-up. Choose the device you want this delivered to and then, as your new copy of ENDURANCE will appear on your device.

Now, what are you waiting for? Start reading!

If you did NOT pre-order, then please go buy the book (here).

No matter what, always be prepping!

  1. Excellent books. I do, however, have a nit to pick. The Second Amendment does not grant any rights. The Bill of Rights grants no rights, it just lists rights granted by God.
As has been said, the government that is big enough to grant you your rights is big enough to take them away.

  2. I dont Kindle. When will Book#2 be published?

  3. When is part 3 coming out?

    • Hey Mike,
Thank you very much for your interest in my next addition to the Highway Series. My co-author (ML Banner) and I are working to get this one released some time in early 2017.
When we have a more concrete date, I’ll be sure to post it here (on JohnQPrepper.com) and by email.
Again, thank you for your support.
      Always be prepping!

  4. Should I expect an Audiobook? I read/reviewed the first one on my blog, and would love to check this one out!

    • Hi Brian
Thanks again for the review of our first book (Highway) and so many others at http://briansbookblog.com. At this time, we’re not looking to release Endurance into audiobook. ML Banner and I underwrite the cost of our audiobook’s production, which is quite sizable. But if we do decide to release audiobooks for either Endurance or the next one in the series, we’ll let you know.

  5. Just discovered the highway series and really found it a good read. So good, that I blazed through both books pretty quickly! Any chance there is a third in the near future? There are lots of unanswered questions and a big cliff hanger at the end. I can’t wait to read more.

    • Howdie Tim,
Thanks for the kind comments and so glad you enjoyed the series. Sorry about the cliffhanger, with the real long wait. I’m happy to report that MLB and I have scheduled the writing of the finale to the series. We don’t have an expected release date yet, but it won’t be too long.
      Until then, keep on prepping!

  6. I really enjoyed this read but I too would like to know the end. Lol I kindle and soak up books. I love your characters and the interaction. A lot of these books are written by men and I think they get hung up on the type and paragraph long descriptions of the weapons after the ammo leaves the pistol and before it hits the target.lol I am a 71 year old grandma. So I skip ahead. You are brief, so good. Can’t wait for the next installment. Thanks

    • Thank you for the kind words Leah!
I am a fan of fast-paced thrillers, which is why my books read a little quicker than others. Sometimes it good to take a breath and get to know what makes a character tick. But most of the time, I like my stories to move.
You could say were both young at heart in that way.

One Note: Although it’s been promised for months, after being sidetracked several times, my co-author and I are now doing the research and discussing the outline for the third and final episode of the Highway Series. So stay tuned.

      Thanks again!
      MLB
