Update from the bunker June 2017

Greetings preppers!

I’m writing to you from my bunker. Which is why I thought I’d call this email, Update From The Bunker.

Lots has happened since my last post, and admittedly (as you already know), I don’t do this blogging crap too often, and only when I have something to say. And between my work (I’m still the typical American schlub, scratching out a living), working on the preps on my property and of course my writing, there’s not much time for other activities. But I felt compelled to update you on a few bits of news.

NEW RELEASE
First, my writing partner, ML Banner has just released a new book called, Hell’s Requiem.

This is a good ‘en. The main character is a prepper. And the story takes place several months after an apocalyptic event has occurred. The only problem is our boy has some serious issues on account of his boy dying and wife leaving him. That kind of stuff has been known to screw up lesser men. Anyway, this story, which infuses generous portions of great music into post-apocalyptic fiction, is a quick and thrilling read.

If you enjoyed Highway, you really should give it a try. MLB says the price is $2.99 for a “limited time.” I guess that means, until the time he decides to raise it. Below are the links…

PREPPER BROTHERS
By now, I’m sure you’re wondering if we (the Prepper Brothers) will ever complete even one of our Prepper Brothers’ Guides to the Apocalypse? Trust me when I say, I wonder this all the time too.

This is the unfortunate problem of co-writing a book with someone who is busier than you are.

The good news is we’re more than 50% done on this. That might not seem like a lot, but trust me when I say that first half was the hardest.

I still don’t have any specific release date, and I hesitate even estimating one, until I have a definite from B.A. Survivor (yep, that’s the other half of The Prepper Brothers). But when I do, you’ll be the first to know. And of course, everyone who has subscribed to my mailing list will still get a free copy. I’m sure you’ll have read nothing like it before.

HIGHWAY BOOK #3

I wanted to give you a heads up. MLB and I have been kicking around ideas for the next and final book in the Highway Series, Resistance. In fact, he’s already written the first couple chapters). I’m pretty excited about where this one will end up. We know the ending, but we just have to work on the final details in the middle.

Once we get the outline all figured out, we’ll get this scheduled and get it released as soon as we’re able.

I promise you an explosive ending.

OTHER PROJECT
Not being able to sit idly by, waiting on others, I’ve been working on a new book of my own. I’m not going to tell you the name yet, but I just love the storyline: the earth’s weather changes completely when several volcanoes around the Rim of Fire erupt. The talk today is all about “global warming.” No one’s talking about global cooling, at least not yet.

I’m about a third of the way through it and with a little luck, I might be able to get this one out by the end of this year (fingers crossed).

PREPPING TIDBIT
Finally, Ma’s told me a load of ammo came in yesterday and I’ve got to get it into the ammo cans, labeled, and then stored away. If you’re stockpiling your ammo like me, I suggest you give AmmoGrab.com a try. Plug in your pricing parameters and they’ll send you weekly updates for the particular ammo you want to buy and the best prices available. I get updates on 7.62X39 at less than 24 cents per round (last few bulk orders have been at $0.19 a piece); 45 ACP for less than 28 cents (most are coming in around $0.20 to $0.22); and 9MM Luger at 15 pennies or less (I’ve been getting these for as little as $0.14 each).

That’s it for now.

Until next time, always be prepping!

JQP
